About the
HOD
Ms.Yasmin Singaporewala has 16 years of experience and is the Head of Department and Coordinator for BAF. She is passionate about teaching and guiding new students to greater heights. She has guided many projects and published several papers. She has multiple postgraduate degrees including an MCom in Accountancy, an MBA with specializations in Marketing and Human Resources, and an MCom in Management. Furthermore, her credentials are bolstered by clearing the NET (National Eligibility Test) and obtaining a JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) in Accountancy, Marketing, and Human Resources. This diverse academic and professional background suggests that she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her roles in both administration and teaching.

Entourage
Entourage, the annual financial festival organized by the BAF, BBI, and BFM department at Jai Hind College, is marked by corporate and social enthusiasm, featuring various financial events, upskilling sessions, and CSR activities. As the primary festival of the department, Entourage emphasizes finance while promoting students' creative abilities and imparting essential life skills such as planning, leadership, and career excellence in finance. It facilitates interactions between students and industry experts, offering insights into the finance sector's practical workings and emerging trends. The festival also helps students develop interpersonal skills, network with peers and professionals, and stay updated on the latest industry innovations, making it a valuable and enjoyable experience for all participants.
ConCourse
ConCourse, the guest lecture series and speakers' committee of the BAF, BBI, and BFM departments at Jai Hind College, hosts prominent keynote speakers, including Wall Street giants and Chartered Accountants, covering diverse topics like entrepreneurship, communication, personal growth, finance, motorsport fundamentals, ethical hacking, corporate crisis management, and mental health. This series aims to enhance students' understanding of specific job roles through interactive sessions with industry experts, providing practical knowledge, networking opportunities, and career guidance. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, ConCourse equips students with the insights and skills needed to succeed in their future careers, making it an essential component of the curriculum.
Endeavour
Endeavour, the holistic editorial club of the BAF, BBI, and BFM departments, fosters reading, research, debating, and peer relations. It features a blog platform (https://endeavour.home.blog) where students can publish articles on various topics, enhancing their awareness and writing skills. The Research Club teaches students the basics of research, hypothesis formulation, and critical analysis, while the Debate Club focuses on developing debating and soft skills through competitions. The Alumni Series promotes peer networking and learning by facilitating interactions with college alumni, providing students with motivation and insights from their journeys.
Baazaar
Baazaa₹, Jai Hind College’s fortnightly financial magazine launched in 2019, aims to simplify core financial news and concepts for students, helping them stay updated and aware. As the Financial Nexus of the BAF, BFM, and BBI departments, Baazaa₹ spreads financial awareness through monthly publications featuring articles on investment, detailed analyses, charts, and business news. It also offers weekly posts on finance and economic crises. By providing comprehensive financial content, Baazaa₹ serves as a valuable resource for students to develop their finance and business skills, promoting financial literacy and awareness within the wider community.
In-Tune In-Touch
In-Tune In-Touch, the department’s newsletter, serves as a comprehensive update on all departmental activities, from club events to academic updates and student achievements. Created and regularly published by students, it features interviews with faculty members, highlights research interests, and covers topics related to mental health, providing motivation and a roadmap for departmental happenings. This newsletter is a vital communication tool, fostering creativity, expression, and a sense of community within the department by keeping students and faculty members informed and engaged.
Students Achievements
Roshni Iddya (TYBAF) won the best dancer award at Umang 2022 at the inter-collegiate level. Aryan Manwani (TYBAF) secured second place in an article writing competition focused on sustainable business ideas. Jaithra Sood (SYBAF) claimed first place in a gaming event (FIFA) at ISDI’s ‘Inferno.’ Additionally, Mihika Kotian (BAF) and Rohit Puri (BAF) each received the Sumitomo Scholarship, awarded with a prize of Rs. 30,000 each.
