Bachelor of Vocation in Software Development
The Department of BVoc Software Development (SD) at Jai Hind College, established
in 2015, is dedicated to preparing students for the dynamic IT industry. Understanding
the need to align education with industry demands, the department offers a robust
program designed to equip students with essential skills for both employment and
entrepreneurship. The team includes 8 in-house and 6 visiting faculty members,
providing vertical mobility for students with a vocational background from 10+2.
The department focuses on holistic student development by organizing orientation
sessions for new students, graduation ceremonies, and a variety of engaging activities
such as presentations, group discussions, and seminars. Students also benefit from
practical experiences through internships, industrial visits, and team-building activities.
To nurture a research-oriented mindset, the department encourages participation in
events like the Avishkar Research Convention, Xplore Science Exhibition, and
discussion clubs, making the learning journey both comprehensive and inspiring
