Jai Hind College has successfully undergone three cycles of NAAC accreditation and placed consistently in the ‘A’ Grade. In the last (third) cycle, it has been a proud recipient of A++ grade with a CGPA score of 3.52 out of 4. In adherence to the recommendations of the NAAC peer team, the College submitted its proposal for grant of autonomy following which the Union Ministry of HRD and the University of Mumbai conferred the Autonomous Status on the institution from the academic year 2018-19 onwards. The University of Mumbai will confer the graduation and post-graduation degree which will now also bear the name of Jai Hind college.

Subsequently, the University of Mumbai Management Council vide Resolution (Item 04) dated 27th June, 2023, conferred the prestigious Empowered Autonomous Status to Jai Hind College for a period of ten years from academic year 2023-24 to 2032-33.
