department
The Department of BVoc Software Development (SD) at Jai Hind College, established in 2015, prepares students for the IT industry by offering a comprehensive program with 8 in-house and 6 visiting faculty members, providing vertical mobility for 10+2 vocational students. The department emphasizes holistic development through orientation sessions, graduation ceremonies, and activities such as presentations, group discussions, and seminars. Students gain practical experience via internships and industrial visits, while research skills are nurtured through participation in events.

Mr. B. Wilson Rao, Coordinator of MSc-IT, specializes in E-Commerce & Internet Security, Java Programming, Enterprise Jakarta, Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics. He has 20 years of experience.

As the head of the Department of IT and BVoc in Software Development, I am proud of our state-of-the-art facilities and highly qualified faculty, dedicated to addressing the critical challenges faced by industry, society, and academia. Our department consistently improves in academics, research, and placements by offering innovatively designed programs that are regularly updated to meet industry needs. Through a combination of innovative teaching methods, hands-on corporate internships, and practical projects, our students develop essential communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills. We also encourage involvement in events like the Cyber Strike Tech Fest and activities of social relevance. being the official club of the IT and BVoc(SD) department, is an entity “of the students, for the students and by the students”. “CYBERSTRIKE” is the department’s annual event which consists of workshops such as drone making, competitive activities such as debate and quiz and other gaming competitions like Counter Strike, FIFA etc. The event also consists of seminars on the latest trends and innovations in the IT industry.
