The Department of Chemistry at Jai Hind College is led by a team of seven enthusiastic and dedicated faculty members. Each faculty member actively contributes to the undergraduate B.Sc. program through lectures and practical sessions. Five of our faculty members are accredited PG teachers who deliver lectures at various esteemed postgraduate institutions. We foster dynamic learning experiences through interactive teaching methods, research initiatives, and internship opportunities. Our graduates consistently achieve success in renowned institutions, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence.

Dr. Brijesh Singh, Ph.D. in Chemistry, is deeply passionate about imparting knowledge in the field of chemistry. He has mentored numerous undergraduate research projects and has co authored several academic papers, frequently collaborating with students. Additionally, Dr. Singh actively contributes to various college committees and boards, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing academic excellence and institutional development.

Student Achievement
In the academic year 2023-24, our students achieved remarkable success across various domains. Anagha Anilkumar secured a position at HP Green R&D Center, Aashish Lad joined BTRA Ghatkopar Mumbai, Sayali Kate became an apprentice at BPCL, and Monil Shah started his career at Rawji Fine Fragrances Pvt Ltd. Monish Jatakiya embarked on his teaching journey at Sardar Vallabhai Patel School, Miraroad. In terms of academic pursuits, Aniket Chaydhari pursued a Ph.D. at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland, while Atharva Sapre and Shreyas Dindorkar continued their academic journey at the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, and IIT Gandhinagar respectively. Shreyas Dindorkar also excelled in competitive exams with an impressive GATE score (AIR: 2182). Additionally, students showcased their research acumen through poster and paper presentations at prestigious events like Chemscope at Sophia College and Xplore at Jai Hind College.
