Bio-Haat (2024–25)
an exhibition organized by the Botany students on Thursday, 6th February 2025 – showcased innovative food preservation techniques and plant-based product processing. The event aimed to highlight students' creativity while raising awareness about the potential of plant-derived products for entrepreneurship. It inspired many students to consider sustainable business ideas, with one even presenting at the prestigious I3 Conclave. The exhibition displayed a variety of preserved foods made using sustainable and organic methods, including sauces, soups, fruit candies, popsicles, and edible fruit and chocolate bouquets. This section emphasized the importance of food preservation in reducing waste and promoting environmental consciousness.Hortithon (2024 - 2025)
The exhibition showcased the talent of the students of Horticulture and highlighted that they can become successful entrepreneurs with simple plant arrangements or preparation of preserves from the knowledge they obtained through their course. It also emphasized the value of sustainability where the products could be converted from waste into beautiful artifacts. It also guided students on how to bring nature indoors in the times where greenery is much needed and we have space constraints. It showcased the importance of healthy food by growing our very own microgreens as well as beverages. It showed openings in perfumery as well such as Pot Pourri.
Bio-Composting of laboratory waste (2024 - 2025)
The aim of this exhibition was to encourage students to employ green practices and convert Biological laboratory waste of flowers, fruits and vegetables generated during practicals into useful manure. This was used for the plants growing in the college campus. Three different methods of composting were used and these included vermicomposting, Bokashi composting as well as soil bacteria composting.
