M.Com program in Advanced Accountancy
Master of Commerce in Advanced Accountancy is designed with a two-year course spread across Four Semesters provides a Post- Graduate Degree in M. Com- Advanced Accountancy. The course caters to students who desire to build their professional competence in the field of Accounting and Auditing. The overall structure of the course has been designed keeping in mind the knowledge and skills needed in the ever-changing global environment of Business and Industry. M.Com - Advanced Accountancy is a self- financing program having a coordinator who is generally a degree college faculty. Majority of the faculties are visiting faculties having a good experience in the field of education and/or industry.
Students are engaged with various Research projects, Problem solving on Excel and Google sheets, Crosswords, Group discussions as a part of their Continuous Assessments which develops the students to face the challenges of the real world and also enhances their interpersonal skill-set and their critical thinking and problem solving ability.

Programme Objectives
To keep the students updated and upgraded about various accounting practices and Accounting Standards followed in the corporate world in various branches of Accountancy-Management, Auditing, Taxation, Costing, etc.
To inculcate students with the working knowledge of the provisions of Companies Act, 2013 and of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
To make the students capable of managerial planning, control and decision making for solving real world problems and to make them capable and acceptable at global level with various professional accounting skills.
To inculcate and develop entrepreneurial culture in the students and equip them with the skill sets required in the industry as well as in profession.
To inculcate and develop in the students the culture of research and enhance their research application capabilities by guiding them to collect and manage data for business development. To enable the students to design a survey form, to apply statistical tests and determine central tendencies & to represent data in a graph/chart format and record research data as well as write a research paper.
